"We have been told that no one has come back from Heaven to tell us what it is like but anybody looking for a glimpse of heaven on Earth should read the following observation. In April 2017 I lost my wife Maureen to ovarian cancer. It was so sudden. I was left behind after 52 years of married life with no-one to help me. But then I found a “little bit of heaven” as Bing Crosby sang of and it was a new beginning for me. Maureen and I had been thinking of coming to a Sue Ryder House but unfortunately she was taken from me. I arrived solo in Nenagh on the 29th June 2017 and from the word go it was Heaven on earth. I was welcomed by the management of Sinead Daly-Dillon and Mary McDonald and everybody made my arrival so happy and pleasant. Everybody got to know me. The facilities for every component of domestic bliss was covered. It is a “little bit of heaven” and I feel I have been here a lifetime. I enjoy every moment of life now in idyllic surroundings and I hope my experience will help anyone who has been thinking of moving see that you can have a great time in a beautiful, peaceful environment."
