Richard Connolly joined the Foundation in 2015, having previously worked as a partner in a Chartered accounting firm, then as a lecturer in a third level college and also having provided management accountancy consultancy services to business clients.

His role in the Foundation initially was on a consultancy basis to streamline the accounting function and implement financial controls. He was appointed CFO in 2017. He is also secretary of the Finance Committee.
